About me
I am a retired engineer... I have spent my working life as an electronics designer and teacher. Now I dedicate myself to my hobbies, in particular drawing...
When I was in high school, they made me draw architectural details in pencil and I always wondered what the result would be if I reproduced those same subjects with ink... I found the result encouraging and I decided to continue... My favorite subjects are the Venetian Villas (particularly those of Palladio) and the Italian monuments... I reproduce them using fountain pen and ink on smooth drawing paper...
I don't feel like an artist; the concept I have of art is too great to be able to define myself as such. The definition that I find most appropriate in my case is that of "design craftsman"...
I only reproduce subjects that arouse my interest; I choose from various photos the one I consider most significant and "interpret" it, using my tools: fountain pen and drawing paper...
I don't sell the originals of my works: firstly for an emotional issue, secondly for the bureaucratic problems that I would have to face in order to send them abroad... However, for each of my drawings I obtain a limited edition of art prints ( max. 60), reproduced on high quality cardboard, numbered and signed on the back... You can find them all on this site...

Sono un ingegnere in pensione... Ho speso la mia vita lavorativa come progettista e docente di elettronica. Adesso mi dedico ai miei hobbies, in particolare al disegno...
Ai tempi del Liceo, mi facevano disegnare particolari architettonici a matita e mi sono sempre chiesto quale sarebbe stato il risultato riproducendo quegli stessi soggetti con l'inchiostro... Ho trovato il risultato incoraggiante ed ho deciso di continuare...I miei soggetti preferiti sono le Ville Venete (in particolare quelle del Palladio) ed i monumenti italiani... Li riproduco usando penna stilografica ed inchiostro su carta liscia da disegno...
Non mi sento un artista; è troppo grande il concetto che ho dell'arte per potermi definire tale. La definizione che trovo più appropriata nel mio caso è quella di "artigiano del disegno"...
Riproduco solo soggetti che destano il mio interesse; scelgo tra varie foto quella che ritengo più significativa e la "interpreto", usando i miei strumenti: stilografica e carta da disegno...
Non vendo gli originali dei miei lavori: in primo luogo per una questione affettiva, in secondo luogo per i problemi burocratici che dovrei affrontare per poterli spedire all'estero... Ricavo però per ogni mio disegno una edizione limitata di stampe d'arte (max. 60), riprodotte su cartoncino pregiato, numerate e firmate sul retro... Le potete trovare tutte in questo sito…
